Dropped into Soul Bakery by North Bridge for brekkie with the family this morning. What a great place - Andrew and Evie were welcoming and entertained my 2 year old, cool music, nice vibes and great art on the wall. Cooked breakfast with ice cold smoothies was excellent value and served with Andrew's homemade breads - so good we've taken some loaves and rolls home! They're stuck behind some roadworks at the moment so if you're in the area take a moment to drop in. Plenty to take away too.

We’ve been wanting to try Soul Bakery for a while now but the roadworks made it a bit awkward to get to. Now that most of them are gone, it’s much easier to park — so we decided to call in today on our way home. I had the sausage, spam and egg on fresh ciabatta with a mocha, and it was really tasty. My wife had bacon on ciabatta with a hot chocolate, and she loved hers too. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. The owners and waitress were so friendly and welcoming, and the prices are great for freshly made food. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommend!

Great. Attentive staff, quick service, absolutely delicious food, decent price.Good coffee, very pleasant environment, and I even came away with an oil painting by local artist, Peter Hudson. Genuine local bakery producing very high quality food as well as bread, with terrific, knowledgeable staff. Ace.

Great variety of bread including white, rye and multiseed sourdoughs, as well as amazing yeasted loaves. Delicious pastries and cakes. The best quiches, sausage rolls and other excellent savouries. All at competitive prices. Great service too.

The best bacon and sausage butty I've had in a long time - looking forward to my next one! Excellent breads too, cheers! Make sure to visit this excellent little bakery, they're currently hidden behind some of Halifax's never-ending roadworks
