Following the sudden death of my husband and soulmate of over 30 years, I found wearing my wedding ring emotional. Thankfully, I was introduced to John at Dot the Jewellers and immediately upon meeting with him I felt a redesign was a positive step and am beyond delighted with the finished result. John listened and understood perfectly what I wanted and the final result is even better than I hoped for. I now smile when I see it and feel it’s a positive move forward in so many ways. I simply can't express how delighted I am with the ring that John has designed and made for me. I inherited a ring from my beloved late mum which had a beautiful Tanzanite in the centre but the ring itself just wasn't my style. I spoke with John about the possibility of him designing a new ring incorporating the Tanzanite. John is lovely and obviously extremely knowledgeable and perhaps most importantly listened to what I had in mind. He came up with 3 designs, all were lovely but one in particular was absolutely perfect. As well as the Tanzanite he has incorporated as much of the gold as possible from mum's original ring. The end result is stunning. With regards to the costs John is upfront and for the level of detail he goes into and the quality of workmanship for a bespoke piece I feel that what he has charged is very reasonable indeed. He has also provided me with an insurance valuation and credited me the money back for the small amount of scrap metal that was left over from mum's original ring. I am beyond thrilled with the end result and shall cherish it forever. Thank you.

The review comes having had my unique engagement ring made back in May this year (2023). The whole process from start to finish was super professional and John catered to our every need when designing our ring. We opted to have a treasured piece of jewellery handed down through the family, customised and upgraded to suit our own taste whilst retaining its integrity. The creative process was fab and thorough and he has the utmost respect towards jewellery items that come with its own personal history. John took photos of the original ring and at various stages of the recreation process which is such a lovely thing for us to have to look back on. The quality is exceptional and his passion in the craft is undeniable we will be returning to Dot the Jewellery for our wedding bands. Thanks so much.

I cannot recommend John at Dot The Jewellers highly enough. His knowledge, experience and standard of workmanship is outstanding and his attention to detail is second to none. John's bespoke designs are truly stunning, unique and are an absolute joy to behold and wear. They are heirlooms for the future!
