I loved visiting Halifax Borough Market. It has such a warm, old-fashioned charm with its glass roof and friendly stalls. You can grab fresh food, discover little quirky shops, or just enjoy the atmosphere. It feels like stepping back in time but still very alive today.

Such a brilliant market with an above average collection of brilliant food vendors. There are also fresh produce stalls of all varieties and the standards and quality were excellent.

The market is starting to build itself up again after recent renovations. There are far more different eating places but less variety of shops than there used to be. The goods sold are usually good value for money.

Beautiful Victorian building, fantastic iron work ceiling. They're currently doing renovations so there's a bit of scaffolding around but the inside clock tower that they've finished is spectacular. It's just a pity that quite a few of the stalls are shut/closed down, perhaps people aren't using it as much so they're not making any profit. The stalls I did see include; cafes, small electrical goods, phone shop, clothes, meat, materials to name a few.
