Sainsbury's

The staff here are absolutely appalling. The management dont take any complaints seriously. Been in store tonight where a very very rude lady stood at the self checkouts wouldn't help me swap a ripped item she said she couldnt move from where she was stood. Doing nothing. My wife proceeded to find the item herself where another member of staff was speaking very rudely of my wife through an ear piece to another member off staff. She then told my wife she was stupid. Upon asking yo speak to the manager. I found he had the exact same vile attitude. Not one member of staff in that store has had training in decent customer service!!

Tried to return my trousers (no receipt purchased on my nectar card) dawn on customer service, I to explained to her I purchased on the nectar card you’ll find the transaction on there. She didn’t know how to key in the nectar card number to check when the purchase was made. I then had explained to her you have to key the number in, it in it won’t just scan. In the mean time she called sue the manager then realised I was right and explained to sue dawn needs the training and then sue looked at me a bit funny as if I was talking in a different language, both made it very awkward with my return. Poor customer service from both staff members. Not very approachable friendly and extremely rude attitude. Got the return done at then end, didn’t need the whole drama from dawn. I recommend customer skill training and software training. Kindness is free.

An incident happened today in store in the self serve area where a lady was putting her purchase in her shopping bag and the bag broke, The poor lady burst into tears I consoled her as she just broke her bottle of champagne and that was the straw that broke the camels back. And this lovely sainsbury lady staff member came over told her not to worry and replaced the damaged item. I want Sainsbury management to know she was brilliant caring and consoled the lady customer. Verbal bouquet to this lovely staff member. And to sainsbury management you need to put a little something in her Christmas stocking. As a on looker who deals with customer for years she was exceptional. Hence why I'm writing this.

The young lady named Sumaria was very helpful at the tils, self checkouts. I was stuck with a product and she helped me understand and also helped me with the product. Its nice to be helped by someone kind and professional. You dont get that with other supermarkets. I live in Bradford but because of my interaction with Sumaria today, i will move my weekly shop to this store. I will also recommend this particular store to all my friends and family. Thank you Sumaria and team halifax. JM

The largest supermarket in Halifax. Includes a Habitat homewares section, TU clothing and shoes (size 12 even!) and an Argos to collect items from. Ample parking and helpful staff.
