Akroyd House Halifax

We stayed at Ackroyd House in Halifax this weekend and couldn’t have been more pleased. From the moment we booked on Booking.com, everything was smooth and straightforward. The listing had clear photos, and the communication before arrival was excellent, we received detailed check-in instructions that made everything so easy. It’s not a typical hotel, the building is unmanned and has four rooms, each accessed by secure entry codes, but it was all incredibly simple to navigate. We had a parking space right outside the door (a huge bonus!) and the location was perfect: just a few minutes’ walk from The Piece Hall, the train station and bus station, and lots of lovely local spots. The building itself is stunning… modern, beautifully maintained, and it even smelled amazing when we walked in! Our room was spotless, cosy, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The shower was fantastic, the bed was super comfortable, and the air-con/heating unit was a great touch. Downstairs, the communal area was a real highlight, a lovely kitchen and dining space with everything from cutlery and crockery to an ironing board and even a cosy seating area with a fireplace. It felt like a real home-from-home, which made our stay even more relaxing. Overall, it’s five stars from both of us - a peaceful, modern, and comfortable stay in a perfect location. We’ll absolutely be booking again and can’t recommend it highly enough!

The location is perfect, just a short 5-minute drive to the train station and conveniently close to all the essentials. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return for another stay. I recently stayed here and I can honestly say you won’t find anything with more charm and luxury in the area! Everything is perfectly thought out, every room feels so cosy and it is right in the centre, so you have everything you need within walking distance! I honestly couldn’t fault a thing, I would 100% stay here again!

The Airbnb is very cosy while having all top class features and feels very luxurious!
