Nice little park, but whoever decided that a wood chipping path around the park would be a good idea, they were wrong. For anybody with mobility issues, the going is unstable underfoot, and difficult to negotiate. A proper path around the park would make the location so much better. The cafe in the park is a little hit and miss, with very little indoor seating, which doesn't allow dogs. I visit so many parks with cafes, which welcome dogs, and due to that are thriving.

It's a great space. Views around it are great. The Crocus's look stunning down one side as spring starts. Years ago as kids , we played & had family picnics. School sports days. Savile Park hasn't changed. Dogs love to run around. Though best kept on a long lead due to the openess & the main road. Not far from it, are the rocks & more veiws. Close by is Manor Heath. All worth a look. If you get hungry the fish & chip shop is in between.

A beautiful place to walk! This park is part of my daily walk regime. It’s used by many people for things like recreation, jogging and walking; and even for events now and then. It’s a really peaceful place to go for walks, it’s usually quiet in the evenings (after 8 or 9). An essential for anyone who enjoys walking. 😊

A good place to go with friends, family or with dogs also. Very big and clean park. It is a very good place to relax or play. We played Cricket and Soccer here with friends and family.

Large expanse of open grassland edged with trees and a small road running through. Ideal for strolling, picnics, dogwalking, etc... It's just 10 minute walk from main bus route from Huddersfield-Halifax which stops at Calderdale Royal Hospital just down the road. We went here after getting fish n chips at Mother Hubbards nearby. Ate them and had a nice walk to stretch afterwards. We usually come here with a coffee from McDs first thing in a morning after dropping our son off at work at CRH nearby and watch the amazing sunrises. It has occasional benches and bins and a footpath across too. It hasn't a toilet but there is a small takeaway open at a gatehouse in the centre. It's nearby to Kings Cross village and Wainhouse Tower too. But Manor Heath Park a walled garden is adjacent which has a cafe, toilets cannot recall if disabled or not and a children's play area so if you do need a loo you're not far away. All in all a fab unusual public space.
