Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall

We hired the whole hall for our wedding reception and handfasting. It was honestly the best decision we made during the planning stage. Everything we asked was never too much. We were able to visit numerous times to measure and work out placements. All our guest commented on how wonderful the facilities were, especially the new bathrooms and kitchen! We'd absolutely use the hall again.

Superb venue for a private party. Large car park and well catered venue with full separate kitchen, plenty of toilets, stage with full. light and sound system and use of 2 other rooms too if booking while building. HIGHLY recommend.

We hired this building for a private party for about 80 people. Excellent facilities, fantastic kitchen really well equipped. Plenty parking. The caretaker went out of his way to assist us with our booking and use of equipment.

Friendly little village with excellent food at Sophie’s Cafe (with All Day Breakfast a must!). Corner shop is handy, little playground over the stream is lovely for a family picnic. Church and Memorial Hall (village hall) often have typical small village activities / events on. I believe there’s one pub; but being a non-drinker I don’t pay much attention to such. N.b. It can be a mobile network ‘deadzone’ - but this would add to the peaceful village atmosphere for most! I believe Sophie’s has free WiFi if connectivity is essential.
