HOTEL PORTER
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<br /></strong><br />• Ensure that every guest has an excellent and memorable welcome and stay at the hotel, enjoying excellent service and hospitality<br />• Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring the luggage arrives at the guest’s bedroom in a timely manner, taking luggage to the guest’s car and stored securely when necessary<br />• Having a varied knowledge of the local area/Yorkshire, the ability to schedule arrangements for guests such as carriages, valet cleaning & route planning<br />• Ensuring all guests’ needs are exceeded at every opportunity<br />• Moving furniture and setting up rooms for events when required, ensuring the hotels’ 5-star standards are met<br />• Ensuring the hotel lobby and surrounding areas are kept spotless, polishing reflective surfaces and ensuring they are dust free throughout<br />• Maintaining the appearance, cleanliness and safety standards which are set out by management<br />• Assisting in other areas of the hotel when needed<br />• Ensuring that you stay proactive during less demanding periods<br />• Must possess a polite etiquette<br />• Must have impeccable grooming standards</p> <p><strong>Key Skills, Qualities & Experience<br /></strong><br />• Hands on approach to work, always being productive and looking to improve<br />• Passionate about hospitality<br />• Detail orientated and drives standards<br />• Full driving license is required<br />• Possess a positive attitude and a desire to learn<br />• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure<br />• Engage with hotel guests on a regular basis<br />• Friendly, courteous, and helpful with excellent communication skills<br />• Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues</p>
