St Ives is a large woodland estate open to the public near Bingley West Yorkshire. There are plenty of walking trails, there is a very pretty large lake (they call it a pond) which you can walk around, there's a full size pro/am golf course, you can do archery too, there are horse stables and a really good cafe. It's just a great place for medium length walks, picnics, in the warmer months there's usually an ice cream van in the main car park. There are public toilets and a large play area for families and kids with seating for picnics. Parking is pay&display from 9am till 5pm but charges are really reasonable. Well worth a visit, or a repeat visit, if you like clean air and woodland walking.
I’ve been feeling Nostalgia lately and I’ve been trying to figure out where this place is and thank goodness I’ve found it! 15 years ago I was in primary school and me my class came here for like a sort of hiking and exploring adventure to learn about history for about up to four weeks but once a week. I miss them days and this place is absolutely amazing really nice beautiful views I’m going to try coming here again I miss them days coming here it was fun!
A lovely morning out. Something for everyone. Nice walk for dogs . Feeding the ducks and swans was the highlight for my nieces I like that there are signs discouraging feeding bread. The playground is great too. Lots of woodland paths to explore. Usually an ice cream van in the car park x
Lovely place to walk with our little dog. Loved the walk around Coppice Pond as there were newborn ducklings and Cygnets. Beautiful sunny hot weather but nice to walk round the Pond in the shade. The Ivy cafe served us a lovely lunch. Although the walk was all we did I did notice a good size childrens playpark.
Brilliant play area with a large selection of apparatus for the kids. Some new things have been installed since the last time I went, and the new swings are fantastic! There's a fabulous walk around the lake and in the woods, and if you're interested, there's also a golf course and archery!
