The small town of Hawes in North Yorkshire is so beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. Fabulous authentic gifts , everything quaint and pleasantly different. The walks are scenic and easily followed with the he books that are on offer. There are many small walks viewing stunning sights which can find a coffee house nearby.

Handy car park with short cut to the village. Easier to use the Ringo app. Download and set up before you go. Two cheaper tgsn average EV chargers in the corner.

We parked at Gayle Lane Car Park in Hawes which is a 2minute walk from the Main Street with all the shops. The available parking spaces were minimal and the spaces itself were small-ish in size. Both pay and display machines were broken (with no notice to say that they were). We payed using RingGo app which was far quicker (despite the lack of phone signal) and only cost £3.20 for 2 hours. For the sake of convenience, it’s alright. Pretty naff though. The only photo I have to show is the shocking parking that made us laugh.

Wouldn't normally review a car park but I had seen one review stating it was expensive, cash only and that charging 20p to use the toilet on top of parking charge was a bit much. I'm guessing that person has never visited the Lake District. I felt that the £5.40 for the day was very reasonable, (Lake District is twice the price) and I was able to pay by card at the machine. While I don't like paying for the privilege of using a public toilet it was much cheaper than the one at Ambleside in the Lake District,(that was over a pound), and unlike the Lake District, Yorkshire CC do at least make sure their visitors get a clean toilet and hot water to wash your hands.

Large carpark with lot's of spaces. Looked well attended, and the ticket machine I used was in full working order. I used the app to pay, which is heavily advertised. Nice and easy. Reasonable prices and great place to start adventures around Hawes and Surrounding area.
