Cattlemen's Grill

A big whopper ribeye steak and some proper chunky chips, and onion rings: what’s not to like. Three of us went, first time, we all had the ribeye and peppercorn sauce. Very good. And the geezers that served us were good craic too. Though not too confident in his barista abilities, he made a very good flat white too. We’d return when next in Harrogate; maybe a burger next time, they looked epic.

A great restaurant for anyone looking for a quality yet good value steak. Some elements of the decor are getting a little dated, but that’s also part of the charm, and it’s obvious that it’s been an institution in the town for many years. The staff are friendly and welcoming and aren’t too stuffy with the service despite being professional and efficient. The mixed grill was really good value for the size and quality, with every item being cooked perfectly. There’s a good range of drinks on offer at equally sensible prices, and the atmosphere throughout our visit was good. A great steak restaurant which I’ll certainly be returning to!

We fancied a steak so booked a table here and it didn’t disappoint! We had the fillet and rib eye and they were both super tender and cooked perfectly as we ordered them! I would definitely come back.

Lovely food and kind staff, all orders were made correctly and of satisfactory heat. If ordering off of the early door menu (12.00 - 18.00 most days) then specify or you shall be charged as if it was a normal meal as we found out today. Photo linked is the "Fudge Cake" with vanilla icecream. Apologies for the fact it is blurry. It tasted amazing, but could've been hotter to allow the icecream to melt over it. Staff placed a candle in a fudge cake and allowed us to sing Happy Birthday to our friend (0 added cost). Overall a lovely place, would eat again for sure. Recommend it!

Was recommended this place by family. The steaks my wife and I had were really, really beautiful. Very well cooked. Definitely next time in Harrogate another visit.
