We visited on a Saturday evening as part of a weekend birthday celebration and had a genuinely lovely meal. The staff were friendly and happy to provide recommendations from the extensive menu - their advice was excellent! The food was spectacular with good portion sizes and a wide selection to suit all tastes at a very reasonable price. I would strongly recommend the dim sum!
We celebrated my birthday at the Royal Baths Chinese restaurant in Harrogate. Having been before we were looking forward to an excellent meal. The actual building is amazing and historical. The food was really good as usual, but we were a little disappointed at the quantity of the hors'doerves starters we ordered. There were only 2 prawn toast ( we have always had 4 pieces everywhere else ) and only 3 small BBQ spare ribs ( usually get 5 or 6 ) Having said that the food was really tasty. For the main course we had a crispy prawn dish & a duck dish with special fried rice which was all excellent. For dessert I had 2 scoops of ice cream which were huge, & my wife had chocolate banana rolls with ice cream which she couldn't finish. The service throughout was excellent and we enjoyed our evening. Just a shame about the starters !! Still one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in the country and we will be back soon.
We had a wonderful meal here. The space is exceptional and the staff were welcoming and helpful while being attentive yet discreet. We had looked online to choose our meals however when we arrived we instead decided to go for the set meal with the additional aromatic duck course. We were worried that we’d be overfaced , however each course was so perfect and not overwhelming at all so we actually managed everything. The ribs in the first course were melt in the mouth and the satay chicken juicy and flavourful. The aromatic duck course makes me salivate even now.( when I’m actually very full) and the main courses were also good. All washed down with a lovely Harrogate gnt and a smooth and refreshing Viognier. Everything was lovely (and I don’t think it was just because it was Christmas) we would come here often ( if only we didn’t live in Scotland 😉 Just in case this wasn’t clear - this restaurant is in harrogate - not London as the pin on the maps seems to indicate ???
A good restaurant in the area tailored for the likeness of local British. I'm sure they'll find the food excellent. Yet as an Asian from the East, will find the food deviated. That cannot be said good or bad, to be honest. It's only a subjective opinion. The service and the atmosphere, however is excellent. Anyway, I don't think give it a try is not a wise choice.
What a fabulous place. We were visiting Harrogate for the weekend and were recommended to eat here, it was fantastic, brilliant service - we felt so welcomed and the staff were so friendly. Food was delicious with great menu choices. Stunning building which adds drama and interest, the owners have done a great job looking after it.
