Visited here last Friday for an evening meal with the fiancée. Once inside we were greeted by a welcoming ambience and friendly staff and shown to our table. We had starters and mains on this visit. Oh my word, not had food that tasted this good in a long time. Staff were super polite and efficient. Remembering everything we wanted and delivering it with welcomed haste! The other half was highly complimentary of the fact her wine glass remained topped up throughout the duration of our visit! The food was unbelievably delicious. I had a lovely, saliva-inducing poached egg on fish cake for starters. The wife to be had the brûlée’d goats cheese and she loved it. For main - obviously it was the steak as I’d heard good things from friends about it. Well, how was it? I hear you asking… Sweet Jesus the Steak I got was cooked to perfection. Medium rare obviously. Juicy and seasoned brilliantly! The knife went through it like butter. The head chef was in on this particular evening we discovered and he clearly knows what he’s doing! If you’re feeling a little peckish and want a meal to remember. Go here you won’t be disappointed! We certainly weren’t. We’ll be back again for sure! Keep up the good work folks!
First visit to this lovely restaurant, I chose it because of the great reviews, they certainly wasn't wrong. The restaurant is perfectly lit with candles and delicate lighting, there was a relaxed atmosphere, the staff where very friendly, welcoming and efficient, the food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I cannot sing their praises enough and im hoping to go back when im next in the area.
Went here with my husband and the quality of the food is very good. All the food was beautifully presented and the staff are friendly & efficient. The option to have an early bird meal is worth every penny.
Had an awesome birthday meal, staff atmosphere and food was amazing.
Lack luster this time! We had been to the Tannin Level on a previous visit to Harrogate, enjoyed our evening so we thought we would make a return visit. We were early week this time and the restaurant was not full, to be excepted or a sign? Either way, 'ambiance' was a bit flat. Menu looked fine, offered fairly traditional, local dishes, nothing that jump out though. Service was lack luster and somewhat unprofessional, I suspect due to a lack of training & supervision, but this rather detracted from the evening. Food was good but certainly nothing wow. I would think twice before returning.
