Payroll Team Leader
<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a high end retailer in the Harrogate area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Team Leader to join their team. They provide an excellent working environment, work from home opportunity and freebies! </p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Key Duties/Tasks:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Leading a team of 3</li><li>End to end payroll processing for 1700 staff</li><li>Distributing workload and day to day team management</li><li>Technical skills including systems & excel</li><li>High level technical month reconciliation</li><li>Support the busy payroll department high volume starters and leavers</li><li>Experience dealing with multiple payrolls of varying shift patterns</li><li>Must have very strong Excel as lots of manual processing</li><li>High volume, fast paced</li><li>Pension and Autoenrollment</li><li>Provide comprehensive advice to employees in relation to payroll queries</li><li>Ensuring all necessary payments are made within the deadlines set, for example Pension Contributions and BACS Salary Payments</li><li>Manual calculations</li><li>RTI Submissions</li><li>Reconciliation of weekly timesheets along with the input of overtime</li><li>Experience of T & A system useful</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Desirable skills and attributes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Industry experience would be great but not essential</li><li>Previous senior payroll experience or long term payroll experience in a fast paced and high volume environment</li><li>People management</li><li>Accountability</li><li>A keen eye for detail</li><li>Enjoy working within a team</li><li>Strong basic maths skills</li><li>Confident on the phone</li><li>Excellent communicator as you will be answering queries</li><li>Confident with Excel</li><li>CIPP advantageous not essential</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Group profit share scheme</li><li>Pension 3% employer contribution, minium 4% employee contribution</li><li>1 x Life Assurance</li><li>25% employee discount</li><li>Free employee Meals and drinks during working hours (when we are in the office)</li><li>Up to 25 days paid holiday each year plus public holidays</li><li>Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.30pm with 1 hour unpaid break</li><li>Hybrid working 3 in 2 at home</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><em><strong>51846JT</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong>INDPAYN</strong></em></p> <p><em>The Portfolio Group are acting on behalf of our client in recruiting for this position.</em></p>
