<p>Production Manager<br />West Yorkshire<br />&#163;50,000 – &#163;55,000 &#43; Benefits</p> <p>Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established engineering manufacturer in looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop their manufacturing operation, based in West Yorkshire.</p> <p>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that is investing in its processes, people, and technology. You will play a key role in shaping production strategy, driving operational improvements, and leading a skilled team to deliver high-quality products safely and efficiently.</p> <p>As Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.</p> <p>Key responsibilities of the Production Manager include:</p> <ul> <li>Leading and managing the production function, including planning, scheduling, and prioritising manufacturing activities.</li><li>Ensuring manufacturing processes operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while maintaining high quality standards.</li><li>Championing health and safety initiatives and ensuring best practice is embedded across the shop floor.</li><li>Driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.</li><li>Supporting the introduction of new products into manufacture, working closely with R&amp;D to ensure smooth and efficient implementation.</li><li>Managing production KPIs, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Investigating manufacturing issues using root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Coaching, developing, and supporting team leaders to build a high-performing production team.</li><li>Collaborating with other departments to ensure production output aligns with business demand and customer expectations.</li><li>Supporting capital investment projects and automation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and capability.</li></ul> <p>We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Manager who can bring strong leadership and operational expertise to the role, along with the following skills &amp; experience:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in a Production Leadership role within an engineering or manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience in assembly processes would be an advantage</li><li>A strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, including supervisors and team leaders</li><li>IOSH or equivalent Health &amp; Safety qualification</li><li>Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills</li><li>The ability to drive change, improve processes, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment</li></ul> <p>For further details on this role please reach out directly to Emma Bartholomew or Jonny Powell at Elevation Recruitment Group.</p>
