I myself recently travelled by train (with my accomapnying P.A.) from morley via leeds, along the historically imposing harrogate line, all the way to & alighted at the renowned harrogate railway station on Friday 5th of December 2025... I even took photos of the renowned rly station on arrival, even after we had a walk-round part of the historic spa town as well. As we arrived at the station by train, I was also surprised to see an LNER Azuma train awaiting departure (for leeds, and london) on the opposite platform, Very surprising to see that the semaphore signals are still standing, for whom a reminder of harrogate station's past. Hope the photos I took on my revisit to the station (and spa town) especially as I share now with you all... play a part in keeping this uplifting station firmly on the UK rail map.
Sadly not very clean. Ticket barrier staff weren’t very nice or helpful. Maybe we caught it all on a bad day but Harrogate itself is lovely and deserves better!
Harrogate deserves a better train station. Current one is absolutely dreadful. The only good thing about it is a waiting area. Please, please tear down this eyesore.
The staff at Harrogate are one of the few remaining good things about British rail infrastructure. They always go out of their way to be helpful.
Fantastic journey on the new Azuma kings cross to Harrogate. Absolutely amazing, wonderful food & staff were so kind & helpful. Look forward to my next trip to London.
