Victoria Multi-Storey Car Park

I actually quite liked the ticketless system in use here. Saved me the worry of losing a ticket, and setting a timed reminder on my phone took care of the rest. But also I can understand how it might impose an extra level of planning on your day. The entry directly into a department store I guess might feel a little strange for some, but it is nothing I have not seen before elsewhere and sort of felt normal to me. The pricing was a bit expensive, paying for the convenience of landing so close to the town centre no doubt. All on all a solid though not necessarily cheap option if you don't mind paying extra for the convenience.

It is central and reasonably priced. Changed the ticketing system from a pay on return to a pay on arrival system. Cynical me tells me this is because now they can fine people for overstaying to get extra revenue. But I guess it at least gives an estimation of when the car park will start to empty. Clean and well lit. There may have been a fault with the automatic lights as when driving round they seems to be on for a very short time when my car was passing under. Will use again.

THIS IS A PAY AND DISPLAY CAR PARK My recollection from the last time at this car park (over a year ago) was that the payment was made on exit, so I did not read any notices when I left to go shopping. Upon my return I saw that it was so called "pay on arrival" which meant I got a parking ticket. This means that you now have to pay for any time that you don't use or spend less time shopping in Harrogate. So next time, less shopping. It is so much easier to pay for what you have used when you leave. Paying in advance is a pain in the rear. I do not recommend this "pay and display" car park.

Very confusing car park. Not very well signposting inside. Where were the lifts or steps ? Expensive now. I don't like the idea of having to pay before you go shopping how do not know how long you are going to be? we ladies have come for a shopping & lunch day. It didn't use to be like this. You paid when you went out. Think we will find somewhere else next time to park. Remember to take a photo of your car reg as you need this to park! No wonder it was empty of cars a bit scary for a woman on her own.

Never has my whole being been so enervated as when I passed through those yellow barriers. This monument of northern glory gets my heart pumping like no other. When I go to pay for my parking I'm breathless as I feed my card into the machine and my dopamine levels soar as I finger in my registration number. GOD. What a rush. Quite central, a little pricey though.
