PLEASE READ My partner and are currently receiving help and assistance from R Stride & Co following an appalling experience with a tax franchise in York which has caused us a great deal of stress and anxiety. We contacted so many local firms for help but 1 stood out head and shoulders above the rest. We cannot speak highly enough of them. Carl Parker (one of the accountancy and tax investigation experts at R Stride & Co) instantly treated us with the upmost care, sympathy, and expertise during what was a very stressful time. I can honestly say after our first meeting with Carl it was as if we had known him for years. Carl and the staff have consistently supported us with their expertise/ kindness and they never fail to surprise us with just how far they go to reassure and help! I feel very passionate about this review because we really felt hopeless after the mess created by another firm. I would not want anyone to go through the experience we had. This is why I really want to get the message across how important finding the right accountant/tax expert is, and that R Stride & Co are without doubt the people to help! We are so very grateful for Carls and all the staffs genuine care, help and support. R Stride & Co have been my accountants for 12 years and tick every box that I could want as a company owner. The service we have received it appalling. We paid R Stride for services that have not been carried out and has resulted in fines being racked up with HMRC. We were having to chase for documents to be submitted and were told it has been done when it was never carried out. We found out our P11Ds had not been submitted when a fine from HMRC landed on our door. We contacted R Stride and were told it was sorted. The first time it happened we had to pay the fine with no offer of reimbursement, the second time we made the sensible to decision to move to another firm that could accommodate our requirements. Robin has made this as difficult as possible obviously offended that anyone would decided to leave his accountancy firm. The professional clearance had to be asked for on numerous occasions. We are still yet to receive all the documents after 4 months and numerous requests. We also have found out that the P11ds were not ever submitted for 2020 and the fine is still increasing we have requested this now on 10 separate occasions and Robin has still will not provided them despite numerous promises. The number one thing you would expect from an accountancy firm is that documents are submitted on time unfortunately you cannot guarantee this with R Stride.
