Halifax

I was helped by Maria Stewart today while she was working at the Banking hub in Richmond. What a lovely woman She went out of her way to make sure I got the solution I needed. She was persistent and charming in all her calls she made on my behalf. Patient and positive Great customer service

Normally find this a really good bank to go into (especially compared to the Barclays branch in Harrogate which is hopeless). Unfortunately yesterday we had a long wait as there was only one person serving and quite a few people in front of us. Hopefully this was a one-off and is not going to become the norm.

Needs a manager to get some organisation in to this place, long queues of people waiting for one cashier at the desk to serve someone with banking issues , bank staff wandering around mostly oblivious to the queue, seems to me to be like this quite often .The only paying in machine they have is painfully slow.

Too few staff. Sadly so common these days with the Halifax. Staff direct you to use the Internet online services as much as possible but that’s no good if you use Google Chrome or Safari as an Apple user. Halifax know their software has problems with these browsers but simply direct you to use Public Machines in Internet cafes using different browsers. ‘Public’ computers says it all to me - don’t companies suggest you stay away from such machines for doing sensitive stuff where your personal details can be stolen? Any way nice Staff, who are set up by their useless management team to simply irritate the customer to avoid queues in branch and direct you to online services and sadly their computers often ‘says no!’ . I give up! One day no one will have a Banking Job in a Branch and we’ll be back to the days of stuffing money under the mattress again!
