Dr L Maw - The Spa Surgery

The behaviour of one of your staff is very concerning, the fact that the doctors allow such behaviours to continue is a poor reflection of the leadership there.

I was at Church avenue surgery for years in the end I was so sick of the rude reception. Not all I would like to add. Also just felt it was impossible to get seen. I was there from birth till 28. Twice they stuck some one else Prescription to my mothers prescription I had picked up. When I rang to tell them what they had done they asked me if I could bring it back. I said no I’ve already been opened I don���t drive I just felt like It was an inconvenience even though it was their fault and totally against data protection which gave me no faith in them. That was it for me. The spa surgery has been amazing! I really feel they do there best you help listen and understand. All the staff are wonderful. It’s a hard to get through sometime but I feel that Covid-19 is the reason. I just want to say I appreciate them for there hard work and support. So thank you the spa surgery. Melanie Ashby

Half the time I can't get through at all. The line is not just busy, but switched off or the call ends after saying they are not taking calls at the time - no reason given - and its not just a break but whole day. No matter what I need, always a problem. And when I finally get an appointment, it's never actual doctor, just a nurse, and you can tell she just wants to get rid of you and move on to next person.

I have been registered at this surgery for many years and have always found the reception team helpful and efficient. The GPs that I have seen or in recent months, spoken on the telephone to, have been fantastic.
