Peliwica Insurance

This company should not be selling horse insurance. They are unprofessional, ill informed, disorganised and disingenuous cowboys. I first used them to insure a new horse for £10k following a 5 stage vetting. A year later I was told by the broker they had stopped insuring horses all together so I had to take out a policy with another insurer but for only £5k without another 5 stage vetting. A year later I went to reinsure with Peliwica, having made no claims and they insisted I needed an another 5-stage vetting anyway. They excluded his whole body from any form of osteoarthritis because he had a slight sign on one of his fronts which an X-ray had picked up (normal for a 10 year old TB ex-racehorse). They excluded his whole neck as it was slightly stiff as he had only recently come back into work after a short holiday and would not take the report from a highly qualified physio who treated him several times as he came back into fitness. I have insured horses for over 25 yrs with other, much more professional companies such as NFU and Petplan and have never had the problems I have had with Peliwica. Avoid.
