ASDA Pharmacy

I would zero star if I could. I'm now 65 years old and retired, but spent my working life in customer service roles. With that in mind, I undoubtedly received the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I didn't catch the girls name so i will describe her, she was a black young lady with impossibly thick spectacles, I'd say she was around 35. There was a queue of people waiting and after getting to the front, I then waited a further 10 minutes as she and the other staff members hid around the back of the pharmacy with absolutely no attempt at placating the customers, there was no "Sorry, we'll be with you as soon as we can" or "apologies for the massive wait etc". She eventually appeared before me and said "Yes?"...I asked for a packet of Nytol 25mg and she loudly asked me in front of the other customers "When did you last use them?"...and before i had a chance to respond, she then barked "these are NOT for regular use" I said they had been recommended by my daughter, and in all honesty, i was quite embarrassed by her tone and manner. The girl then simply said the price of the product. I scanned my card and she instantly looked to the next customer. No please, no thank you, no smile, nothing. I notice the reviews on this pharmacy are terrible and I'm not surprised. The young lady looked like she wanted to be anywhere else other than at work. During the long wait at the counter, there were several comments from the other customers regarding the COMPLETE lack of customer care, some of which I can't repeat here on account of the language used. I will not be shopping here again, and given the unprofessional conduct of the staff and the commensurate reviews, I'd wager that many people feel the same way.

Would I recommend this pharmacy NO, The service is appalling went from a appointment with the eye surgeon to buy drops, I asked the young lady behind the counter for help, She just started at me as though she was unsure of what to do, Then said in a very condescending voice are closed and walked away, I looked at my phone it was 12.31 ok lunch is 12.30 but 1 minute!!! She Walked through the shutters turned stared at me and closed the shutters, I Think it's time she had some customer service training or come into work with a better attitude , Will let go back ABSOLUTELY not

As a dispenser in Leeds in a pretty run down area I must say we are so much more attentive to Customers than in this pharmacy!! I understand the prescription ration to customers,but as a place in a major retail institution I have never wanted to call the NPA as much as this evening,in the 40mins I was stood waiting,THREE members of staff departed,not one said someone will be with you soon, and the Asian lady was extremely RUDE!!! ZERO STARS I will definitely be contacting NPA

Staff get a lot of rubbish thrown at them from the public but they’re genuinely really lovely people, just a very busy pharmacy. Manners cost nothing from the public. Keep doing what you’re doing people, young lad very tall with short blonde hair is particularly lovely

If there were a competition for worst pharmacy in the country. I am certain that the ASDA in Harrogate would be the unanimous winner. The younger workers are kind and try, but the older staff are so incapable. They act so inconvenienced by having to do their job that you’d think you asked them to donate a kidney. Not to mention their phone line. I don’t see the point in having a phone if they never answer it. The only good thing about this pharmacy is how infuriatingly character building it is, because it is definitely a test of my strength and patience.
