Harrogate Post Office

Terribly slow. Never known anywhere like it. Every time I come in here there’s a massive queue. Staff don’t rush at all. it’s like they want to irritate everyone in the queue. What’s the point in having self service kiosks when they never work

Beware of the manager/postmistress, she tries to charge you for large letters when a normal stamp would suffice. I've posted items myself for 87p after been quoted £1.55 at this post office. Always check the size yourself at the self service tills first. There's a plastic measuring device there to use. Dread to think how many people a day she overcharges.

Came in last week and it was not the most functional establishment at all. Queues upon queues of people with only two people jumping between post office counter and currency exchange counter. After waiting the best part of half an hour I was finally served and I was very rushed out so they could get to everyone else, I understand it was busy but there should be more people, I had some questions to ask about what I was posting and was getting very blunt and quick responses to get me gone. What I found rather perplexing that the two workers had clearly acknowledged the queue but did not think to call someone else up for assistance. One poor old lady actually walked away after having to wait so long. It's a shame, with it being so convenient in the town center, the service and wait time is no convenient at all - What a shame.

Dont normally use this branch. All of the self service machines were out of order. The queue was long with only 2 desks open and no foreign exchange service. For a town centre post office this is not acceptable.

I was overly optimistic when visiting on a Saturday afternoon. About a twenty minute wait as there were only two people at the desk and they were faced with a lot of queries, and trying to offer all the PO services. The rating does not reflect the staff, who were fantastic - friendly, professional and diligent, despite the constant queue of customers.
