We have recently completed on the sale of our house using Taylor Fawcett to do our conveyancing. Our solicitor was Victoria Black, a locum at the firm. She was absolutely brilliant, efficient, knowledgeable and responded to all enquiries quickly. We felt we were in very capable hands.

I recently used Taylor Fawcett for the sale of my property, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. When I tried to speak to my solicitor, Sarah Taylor, I was repeatedly blocked from doing so and redirected to Clare Strike, the secretary. She was rude and unprofessional towards me on several occasions, which only added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. Every piece of correspondence was sent by 2nd class post, causing continual delays that could easily have been avoided. Throughout the process, I genuinely felt as though they were making things harder for me rather than helping me. The most shocking moment came the night before completion, at around 9pm, when I was suddenly informed that they were not prepared to transfer the proceeds of my sale to my bank account. This last-minute phone call, at such a late hour - after months in which they could have raised the issue - almost caused me to have a heart attack! It felt entirely unreasonable and showed a complete lack of consideration for the impact on me. I have no idea how they manage to keep clients when they treat people with such a lack of respect. I will never use them again.

I contacted Taylor Fawcett regarding a probate property in our neighbourhood that has gone to rack and ruin. They had previously agreed that the property would be tidied within two weeks. Two weeks later, when nothing had been done, I called to follow up. The woman who answered the phone was rude and aggressive, denied any responsibility, and abruptly hung up on me. Other probate properties nearby, managed by different solicitor firms, are regularly checked and their gardens maintained as part of their duty of care. Based on this experience, I’m very disappointed with Taylor Fawcett’s attitude and professionalism, and I genuinely wonder how they retain clients if this is how they communicate and manage properties under their care.

In February 2024, we engaged Taylor Fawcett to represent us in the sale and purchase of a house. The process was far from straightforward due to complications with our buyers' solicitors. However, Kim Stockburn was exceptional, demonstrating persistence and professionalism that ultimately turned things around for us. Taylor Fawcett will be the only solicitors we use in the future.

We instructed Taylor Fawcett to act on our behalf for a house sale/purchase following a positive experience using them in 2017. Denise Vince was the solicitor assigned to us. We were very impressed with her knowledge, efficiency and support throughout the process and wouldn't hesititate to use Taylor Fawcett in the future.
