Spa Cycles

I recently took a trip up to Harrogate too try out sizes. All the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I never found myself being pushed into anything and was happy too take their advice. I always had in mind that when I wanted a new touring bike I'd use Spa, owing to their reputation, knowledge and range. Places like this after so hard to come by now. I even got a test ride. The bikes are very well made and fantastic to ride! I really wish I hadn't left it so long to buy one. Thanks.

Great experience with the team over at Spa. Spoke with John at great length about a full bike build for the Elan. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Very responsive via email during the build too. No issues picking the bike up and the man in the shop was helpful. Couldn’t be happier with the build and how the bike rides. It looks and feels great. Definitely worth it

I had a rear wheel built by Bobby at spa cycles roughly 4 months ago for my commuter bike. Fantastic from start to finish. I initially called and spoke to Bob who was more than happy to go through my options on the phone while I was looking on their website at the different spec's and answer any questions I had. I ended up ordering a Ryde Andra 321 Rim, Xt Hub, Sapim spokes. When the wheel was built I got an email saying it was ready to be collected. I drove through and got it. The wheel is beautiful very nice workmanship. The hub was setup all I had todo was pop it in the bike. The wheel builder puts his name on the wheel nice little touch. Shows pride in work. The staff were great had a good chat about tyre pressures and various other things. The wheel has been fantastic getting used everyday to get me to work. I’d 110% have another wheel built by these guys. Thank you

Spa Cycling used to be an excellent shop, but sadly the quality of their customer service has completely deteriorated. I tried to make a simple return and had to call three times and email three times before anyone responded. When I finally spoke to someone, they were extremely rude, arrogant, and dismissive. Months later, I still haven’t received my refund. It’s a real shame to see such a once reliable company lose all sense of professionalism and respect for its customers.

Like others, I have been struggling to receive any sort of reply to my emails. I pre-ordered an item in early October for delivery at the end of the month. I realised in the intervening period that I no longer needed the item and sent two emails asking to cancel. When the item turned up, I called the shop and was (slightly rudely) informed that they would sort out a full refund plus return postage provided I sent the cancellation emails that I "apparently sent". Having done this, I have received a refund for the cost of the item but nothing for postage in either direction. I have sent another email and have left this review as I don't have much faith in their email system. A shame as Spa Cycles used to be a great shop!
