I'm a bookstagrammer so always love visiting a new bookshop and this one my friend took me to was no different. It was a nice spacious shop with a great selection of books and a good sale section too. Had some nice gifts/cards and a cute children's area, as well as a blind date with a book trolley and I liked the staff's favourite shelves too :)

I came in last Saturday. I told you I was just looking. I ended up buying a splendid hardback of Through the Looking Glass. I asked if a post office was nearby as I was sending it to my granddaughter. Not only did you give me directions but you gave me a label to write a message, wrapped it in paper with a ribbon and the whole, in a cardboard wrapper designed for posting. I live in Greece where such attention is often quite normal, much to my chagrin when compared to my memories of England. To have you provide such a service, enveloped in such kindness and consideration, was wonderful to experience. Thank you. Further, today, I received two photographs of a delighted, smiling, excited granddaughter (age 7). One was her holding the book wrapped in red paper with your bookmark and the other of the book in its dust jacket. She lives in the southwest. Perhaps one day she will drop in to see you!! Again, thank you.

One of my favourite authors visited the store during the Harrogate festival. I wasn't able to attend, but called up to see if I could still order a copy of The Wasp Trap. I spoke with Em, who was so helpful and friendly. She took my order, got it signed by Mark and it arrived the very next day.....on a Sunday. It was so nicely gift wrapped and I loved the little sticker on the packaging. Such a nice thought. I was also totally blown away with the other gift that Em included in the package, which I won't say exactly what it was in case I am not supposed to 😉😉, but needless to say I feel so lucky to have received it. It was so unexpected and such an incredible gesture to include. This bookshop is incredible, but then to make it so incredible you need people like Em. Will definitely buy from this shop again. Thank you again, I hope to visit the shop in person one day too
