Absolutely beautiful interior design shop full of wonderful items from; crockery, lamps, rugs, bed linen, dried flowers, candles, cushions, sofas etc. All made from the same muted coloured hand-made coordinated fabrics & linen's. If you're looking to give a room or rooms in your house a natural looking make over and have a few quid, as nothing cheap, then I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

There is only one reason I go back to this shop, I like the fabrics. If I could get them elsewhere I would. Without fail, every visit I encounter rude staff. When I spent £800 in here on fabric, they had the cheek to also want me to pay £5 p&p which was just to get the fabric to the store, not to my home. They refused to knock that off the price seen as I was spending so much and said they would give it to me as a voucher when I went to collect the fabric. I never got it. Today in the store my friend wanted some candles and they insisted they were out of stock even though we could see them out on display. We had to persuade them to let us buy them. We managed to get 2 but we really wanted 6. That seemed too much of a stretch for the staff even though they were available. My friend had also wanted to buy some cushions but because the staff were rude about the candles she decided against it. I just hate going in because the staff are never nice, even when you’re spending a lot of money. I also feel their products are overpriced for what they are. I’m looking for alternatives now instead of continuing to decorate my house with their things. I just don’t feel this is a company I want to give my money to.

If your looking for average items poorly made with very poor customer service then this is your dream place. Just because things are hand made doesn’t mean the finish of everything should be tatty, it isn’t elsewhere. The lady in the shop was rude and ignorant to say the least, it is not the customers fault if they are obviously far more knowledgeable than you. Don’t know if it’s the famous Harrogate snobbery but the prices are extortionate also.

Quality control could perhaps be improved ! as disappointed with two consecutive online orders I received from Susie Watson, the first a lampshade with a noticeable fault, the second a hurricane vase purchased in sale which arrived slightly wet on the inside with a very unpleasant grey sticky substance smeared on the outer glass - clearly a used item??!! or possibly ex - display ?? , in which case customers should be made aware of this before purchasing. Whilst I am completely aware that this Vase was hand blown in a small sustainably run work shop in India and I totally support these ethics!, to receive an item in this condition , especially during current times, was not a particularly good experience!!
