I'Anson Jewellers & Goldsmiths

I ALWAYS use this little gem of a jewellers to repair my jewellery. They are one of the few jewellers that have a workshop on site. The working jewellers staff have a vast knowledge of how to carry out repairs correctly and to the very highest of standards.

Came in today, to fix some Primark Jewellery. The lady that dealt with me was great. Was clear and concise with what was possible. Focused on value for the customer and managed to fix what was needed. Very good experience.

Had fantastic customer service yesterday. The lady who served me was very patient, helpful and took her time with me as I was emotional at trading in old jewellery with old memories and she gave me the time to make the right decision for me. She was very thorough going through various options. I have used I'Ansons for over 50 years and will continue to do so.A very happy customer.

Yellow gold diamond pendant taken in for insurance valuation and minor repair. Yellow gold chain it was on also needed repair. Once I collected I got home and realised they’d rhodium plated the diamond pendant. So, I ended up with white gold pendant and yellow gold chain… when I rang to discuss I was told maybe it had rubbed off previously or it was very pale gold…. Seriously? It was yellow gold for years from new. It was rectified and rhodium removed but so disappointing that not at any stage did I get an apology or admission they’d made an error. I never asked for rhodium plate, they had the yellow gold chain it came on so why do it? No apology is a total disgrace, when I pointed this out in store I was patronisingly told “I was trying to help you” but still no explanation how or why it happened. My insurance valuation had to be updated to detail yellow gold diamond pendant as that also said white gold, even though they’d put a photo of it on showing it when yellow. I’m beyond bewildered by the whole debacle and feel it was totally unprofessionally handled.

Customer service makes all the difference !!! Two watches required batteries and a rather scarce Spitfire undercarriage leg poppy needed its post gripper sorting. Went in and had a very sensible chat, considered options and a great solution was made for the poppy. One watch needs a special tool to take the back off, the other was done immediately. It is a rare thing in Harrogate to receive sensible and down to earth practical advice in this sector, especially when I was - casually dressed !!! Will collect posh watch when done. Excellent service 👍
