I’ve visited John’s shop several times now and have always found him to be professional, approachable, thoughtful, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. His shop is beautifully laid out, and he clearly takes great pride in keeping everything polished and immaculate. Yesterday, I purchased a ring, and John was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He took the time to discuss what I needed replacing, sizing, preferences, and style, was patient, and never made me feel under any pressure to buy. He showed me alternative options, explained the origin of the Sri Lankan amethyst used in the ring, and gave me the space I needed to think it through. The ring is absolutely beautiful. John has previously done an excellent job repairing a necklace for me, and I have several more pieces that I’ll definitely be bringing to him for repair in the future, and intend to buy gifts there too. I totally recommend The Jewellery Exchange.

John at The Jewellery Exchange is a very personable and professional jeweller and valuer. We felt very at ease with as he assessed our items for potential purchase. He gave us good information on trends in the market that impacted the valuations both positively and negatively, and was upfront on items where he felt we would obtain better pricing elsewhere, providing guide prices such as the market value of diamonds per carat on the second-hand jewellery market. We did not feel pressured at all, and ended up exchanging one item with him.

We visited the store on a road trip. Saw the most amazing ring. Wife was a bit unsure but later on when back in London. My dear Ani decided she wanted it sooo badly 🙄 Anyway one call and John was so helpful and also remembered us 😉 within the hour the ring was on its way to us by special post 🔷 it arrived today all polished and ready for our 6th anniversary. I know its supposed to be iron but gold and Cambodian Topaz is far nicer hahaha Thank you and we will be back for more 💙

Brilliant service from John at The Jewellery Exchange. I recently sold some jewellery to him and he gave me a better price than anyone else in Harrogate was offering. He also repaired and cleaned a bracelet for me and did a fabulous job. He is friendly, professional and a real jewellery expert. Would highly recommend.

I was delighted with the service and expertise I received at the Jewellery Exchange recently. I took in two items that I could no longer wear - a wedding ring that was too small and a beautiful moulded heavy silver bracelet that was too loose. Both have been adapted beautifully and also cleaned and polished to perfection. John was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this business and am so grateful to be able to enjoy wearing my jewellery once again.
