ECCO Harrogate

Visited a few weeks ago to try boots on after chance recommendation- the European sizes are really accurate and it was explained how each last might slightly different. The shop assistant was just the loveliest, calmest individual; I had my three children with me and was made to feel super welcome. I returned yesterday to buy the boots, which are supremely comfy and really lightweight too; again, the service was exemplary, albeit different assistants. THANK YOU. I hate buying shoes, but will definitely be back!

To day I wanted to buy shoes for my partner. I came from Leeds to Harrogate but felt uncomfortable because of the cold atmosphere and unfriendly behavior. My English isn’t good, and I felt treated badly. Also, I returned shoes ordered online for my child because they were too small.

Bit of a mixed review here. I bought some trainers on 4/5/25 and the gentleman could not have been more helpful. We knew they were a bit big and they might have to be returned but I needed to try at home with my insoles. Today (12/5 /25) as I could not make them work tandxsafly did not receive the same service. The young man was beligerent & insisted that my card ended in ‘120’ and could not refund me. I was so confused as I don’t have a card ending in 120 at all. He stood firm and said I had a few days to work it out. I had come especially and was not going to leave. It was baffling. I eventually managed to log on to my bank accounts and there it was. The one I knew I had paid with … Card ending 873. I asked to check his receipt with my card number and there it was under the number he thought was relevant. Everyone can make mistakes. I know that. But not a single apology was unacceptable. His attitude was awful. I buy lots of shoes from Ecco in Harrogate and I was not impressed with this at all. As a shop owner myself, I can say a simple ‘I’m do sorry’ goes a long way.

We've bought a few pairs of shoes from this shop now. Based on our experience we think the customer care is in this shop is exemplary. We recently had cause to return a pair of shoes - no fuss, no humming and hawing - just a straight refund. Just really helpful, polite, trustworthy service.

On a rainy day I got sterling service and came away with my second pair of comfy trainers. Even offered a small discount as it was the day before black Friday. Much appreciated. I travelled a long way to get there!
