Stayed here for my better halfs birthday and what an absolute find. Both Patrick and Nick have worked/are working very hard to give guests a great experience. Breakfast is served/cooked fresh to your liking and it really sets you up for the day. We had room 9 and cannfault it, especially the ensuite. The little touches make a big difference, down to the welcome card and more importantly, biscuits 😉. All in all a great experience which we thank them for and will definitely be returning. What an amazing B&B, Patrick & Nick were superb hosts. The room we stayed in was beautiful. The mattress was a little hard for me but we can’t have it all. Fabulous location, short walk for us into the main town. Great choice for breakfast and tasted amazing. We will definitely be returning.

We had the most wonderful time at this charming B&B! The beds are incredibly comfortable — we slept like royalty every night. Each room is tastefully decorated with so much attention to detail, it feels like a boutique hotel but with the warmth of a home. Breakfast was simply outstanding — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The location couldn’t be better either: just a short walk to the lovely centre of Harrogate, but quiet enough for a peaceful night’s rest. And last but certainly not least, Nick and Patrick are the most amazing hosts you could wish for — warm, welcoming, a good sense of humour and always ready with great tips to make your stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

A very relaxing stay in this very special B&B. The room was perfect with great attention to detail ( fresh milk each day, cold water for the room etc) plus a huge and very comfortable bed ( and I'm a poor sleeper ... I slept well here!) Everything was clean and the linens soft and fresh. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts very helpful , recommending some fabulous local restaurants. We will definitely be back

Nick and Patrick greeted us on our arrival to the beautifully appointed BnB. From the well kept gardens to the remarkably cosy and calm entrance area we knew we had made the right decision on a choice of accommodation in Harrogate. The premises are in easy reach of the centre of town via a lovely 10 minute walk, and situated in a serenely calm and well appointed suburb. Our room, a Superior Super King, was very beautiful, immaculate and had everything one could need and more. Yorkshire provenance tea and coffee in the room, a mini fridge with fresh milk, lovely toiletries and an excellent rainfall shower. All the decor was individual to the room and unique - a wonderful change to the identikit rooms in the major chains! Breakfast choices in the lovely breakfast room were wonderful with a real focus on locally sourced foods. Both proprietors Nick and Patrick made you and clearly our fellow guests extremely welcome at ease. I mentioned on arrival we were in the area for my other half’s birthday and the next day we arose to a handwritten card at breakfast. It’s these lovely little touches that elevate the average to a remarkable stay! I wouldn’t hesitate and haven’t hesitated to recommend the Bay Tree to friends and family.
