Wonderful old hotel that maintains the glorious original architectural features. First class professional and friendly service from all staff. Large, warm and comfortable room with plenty of hot water. Large comfy bed and adequate storage space. Lovely large, period restaurant with impressive clear roof. Clean and well kept throughout the hotel. Excellently placed within a couple of minutes walk of the center of handsome Harrogate.
A magnificent Victorian hotel kept in pristine condition. Bedroom(single) really roomy with good sized comfortable bed and excellent large walk in shower all decorated and furnished to a very high standard as were the public rooms. Dinner was very well cooked within an imaginative menu. All staff pleasant and attentive. A pleasure to stay there. We will be back!!
I have been going here for years and not had any problems or issues, one of the days I go sit in the room I usually sit in to have soft drinks and relax and eat my food. Then one of the main staff comes in and comments randomly and was being rude and not polite to me at all, very inconsiderate and he should have better manners. When I go to a hotel I expect good manners and good service not bad service and bad treatment from some aggressive male staff member, unacceptable. There are better hotels worth going to with better services and more polite staff.
The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, making a great first impression. For example, one morning I was told about the history of the hotel and Harrigatter at reception, and the next morning I was given a hard copy of Harrigatter and the full document about Agatha Christina. I would like to thank them again for seeing how interested I was and for being so attentive. 💛 My room was clean and warm, spacious and very comfortable, with excellent sleep quality. The location was perfect, within walking distance of all the popular attractions, restaurants and pubs. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, with a variety of sweet, healthy and hot breakfast options. The service was perfect. Highly recommended and I will definitely choose them again
Room had everything we could have wanted, except for a view. However, it was nice and cool in such warm weather and spotlessly clean. I really appreciated the room being not too far from the lift and having a walk in shower. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
