Springdale guest house. What can I say, it had everything you could want when having a weekend away. The decor was beautiful, lots of thoughtful personal touches, which reflected Nigel and Caroline's warm and welcoming personality. Nothing was too much trouble, they even deconstructed my eggs benedict for me! They are a fountain of knowledge of the area with restaurant recommendations. Definitely the nicest place we've stayed.
An amazing wonderful guest house. Great host. Fantastic breakfast.Lovely room. Short walk to the town centre. Free parking. You honestly could not ask for a better place.
My boyfriend treated me to a birthday stay here for two nights and what a treat it was. We were warmly welcomed into this stunning guesthouse by Nigel, who showed us to our room and kindly insisted on carrying our bags. The place is beautifully furnished and has such a warm and inviting feel.Everything has been considered; from the fluffiest of robes, to the welcome wine, the fridge with complimentary drinks, the abundance of toiletries and the fact that all the laundry smells wonderfully fresh. The place is spotless! Breakfast was beautiful. Caroline recommended the yoghurt with warm compote which did not disappoint, this was followed by a beautifully cooked full English served with homemade fresh toast. We were regaled with tales of the rich history of Harrogate which was super informative and incredibly interesting; Nigel really knows his stuff! We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous b&b and would not hesitate to return. My only niggle would be our check out. We had the last slot for breakfast and was well aware that check out was 11, as we only finished eating at 11 we asked how flexible check out was. We were more than ok with leaving at the time that we were supposed to leave, however we were told that “there’s no rush, we won’t kick you out, take your time” So we did. We were ready to leave at 12:25, just before leaving there was a knock at the door and a sharp reminder to leave. Whilst I totally understand the importance of check out times being adhered to, it also felt a little like a telling off after previously being told there was no rush. We would have preferred to have been given strict instructions as opposed to getting a knock on the door. That aside, the whole stay was delightful and Nigel and Caroline were truly wonderful hosts.
This B&B is brilliant. Breakfast was delicious and Nigel and Caroline were lovely hosts. The room was spotless and large, shower and toilet was lovely, plenty of hot water. We will book again when in Harrogate. The location was a stones throw from town. Plenty of restaurants and bars, very busy weekends so better to book a restaurant before you arrive. If you are looking for a B&B you won't go wrong with this B&B.
Great location for walking in to the town. Caroline and Nigel were great hosts. Breakfast well cooked with options available. Room was spotless. Nice touch of a small bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival. Car parking sorted by parking on road with permits supplied by Nigel. Found room well equipped as stated. Bed was slightly uncomfortable for us as mattress different to ours, quilt far to thick making it to hot which disturbed sleep. Birds rowdy at 6am. Shower was very powerful and hot,but would reccomend changing the shower head as it is grubby. Overall a good stay and would recommend this guest house.
