Small walk from town, opposite a lovely park. Really lovely fruit salad for breakfast definitely not to be missed.

This is a very traditional b and b. Very clean, great facilities and lovely hosts who are extremely on the ball with any request or enquiry. If I were looking for faults, I could have wished for a shower with more water pressure but in the over all experience, it didn't really figure too badly as the other facilities are all great. Breakfast is absolutely first rate and for a visit to Harrogate, the location couldn't be better. All in all, I'd recommend to anyone and would certainly return (if they'd have me!) next time I'm in or around Harrogate.

Excellent service, decent rooms and amazing breakfast with decent location for a stay in Harrogate. We stayed for a weekend at The Dales and enjoyed it thoroughly. Chris the owner greeted us and sorted our parking immediately. We were then showed to our rooms which were spacious and clean (photos are after our stay, it was impeccable on arrival). The room was stocked with tea/coffee etc and lots of linen and towels. The bathroom for our room (Room 1 on first floor) was separate but large, and carpeted. It was still private although technically someone could walk past you I guess, but we were OK with the setup if sensible. The beds were comfortable and the room warm and private. There is a group TV room on the ground floor next to the dining room, and room 4 is a utility room (second floor) with iron, microwave and fridge etc. Breakfast was amazing. The amount is significant and tasty. The fruit melange is a must with 9 different fruits in it! The vegetarian breakfast was very filling and the sausages so tasty. The second day we couldn't manage the amount so opted for simple poached and scrambled eggs on toast. Both were perfect. Honestly the food was excellent. Some may find ordering the night before annoying but we didn't and prefer to support less wastage of food using this system. The location is perfect, right opposite the park for kids and the Japanese Garden for a nice stroll. You can walk to town and be at Betty's in 10 mins or the center in 15 mins max. Chris the owner was attentive and helpful. We didn't see her partner but about if needed, although we didn't. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here for others.

Amazing experience, well worth the price. Chris was so nice and helpful and so easy to talk to! Room was spacious and clean, as well as quiet. But what I loved the most was the park just outside the building. Quiet street and a lot of trees. Amazing!

Unfortunately as my wife has mobility issues this B+B is not suitable for anybody with mobility as the stairs to both the front door and bedrooms very steep. Our room was clean and tidy but they use time slots for breakfast and which ever you choose you will still wait about 20 minutes for your food. The food was ok but they need to practice cooking fried eggs, they arrived like bullets with black burnt edges on both days. You only get 1 slice of toast but not asked white or brown toast and you have to wait till the owner returns to order another piece of toast. Unfortunately the owners don’t show much interaction or conversation with the guests, even when we were leaving no appearance from owners
