I joined FBC not long after it opened. Dave is exceptionally knowledgeable on everything to do with fitness and nutrition. This isn’t a normal commercial gym, it’s independently run by a local lad who cares deeply about helping people. Whether it’s kick starting some motivation, getting stronger, losing or gaining weigh or just feeling better. He will tailor it to your needs. The people that attend are from all walks of life, age and fitness levels, but we all help and support each other and more importantly have a good amount of camaraderie and laughs. BIG UP DAVE WARD.

I’ve been a member of several different gyms over the years and none of them are as good as FBC. Dave is an excellent trainer who motivates you to push yourself in every class. Not only do I feel like I have my own personal PT, I feel like I’m part of a community. Every member of the gym has been warm and friendly. Supporting each other to reach their fitness goals. I’ve only been a member for a short period of time but I can already feel a huge difference not just physically but mentally too.

I have been a member of FBC for 3 years now and I have to admit that Dave has helped me along so much. Dave has re adapted workouts for me to aid my recovery from injuries sustained, ( not in the gym ! ) and he is always available to help and support. There is great camaraderie at FBC as we all kind of share in everyone else's success. There are no egos just a great atmosphere, even at 6.15am !

I did the 7 day free trial at FBC, I tried out a range of different classes and I enjoyed them all. Once my membership ends at Nuffield at the end of December I will be joining FBC. Dave is massively accommodating and all the current members are really welcoming - it’s just one big gym community. I’m really looking forward to getting started in the New Year! 😎

If you’re after light banter, belly laughs and a surprisingly effective workout, FBC is your place with Dave being the secret ingredient. He won’t just be there as your trainer but he’ll also be your unofficial therapist, career advisor, motivational speaker and occasionally a stand-up comedian but above all, he’s the kind of person who genuinely wants you to smash your goals and feel good doing it. You’ll join a brilliant crew of lovely humans who cheer you on every step of the way. And if you’ve ever survived one of Dave’s “legendary events,” you’ll know exactly what I mean. His most recent masterpiece, “Fitness Fest”, was absolutely disgusting in the best possible way. The kind of challenge that makes you question your life choices mid-way through… but the sense of achievement (and the celebratory drink at the end) made every sweaty second worth it. In short, come for the fitness, stay for the chaos, the community and most of all, Dave 🫶
