I haves recently started with Andy's training group, I can't recommend them enough. I had the usual gym membership that in all honesty I hadn't even been for a year! in the past three weeks not only have I done more exercise then in the past 3 years, I have also met some great new friends. I am already feeling fitter than I ever did after going to the gym. The training sessions have a great balance of pushing yourself forward but also a great laugh. If you are feeling nervous about getting started Andy will put you at ease.
As an impressive sportsman himself Andy has the experience and the knowledge to guide you to your goals. He as a very individual approach and pays attention to technique which is the most important aspect of development (in my opinion). I attended many of Andy's cyclist specific gym classes which merged intervals with weight training and shone a new light on my functional deficiencies. No longer the weak core and underused glutes (for 15yrs), but I now had a stable platform for cycling. Well recommended for anyone taking up sport or at the top of their game, Andy will bring you something different with a bit of fun along the way.
I go to a small group with Andy on a Wednesday morning where we do a combination of circuits and boxing. The training is really varied. I always leave feeling like I've pushed myself. Just after a few weeks, I could already notice a difference in my fitness. Highly recommend it's not often I enjoy hiit workouts but Andy makes it fun.
I have been doing the training session with Andy on the Appleby estate for over a year. As often is the case, work has the tendency to get in the way of exercise but Andy's sessions are so convenient. Every Wednesday morning I roll out of bed, get changed, step out of my door and enjoy an hours training session with a group of fellow fitness fanatics (!?) in the lovely surroundings of where we live. Andy is great and the sessions are very relaxed and I have seen my fitness and ability improve. I would recommend everyone to come along, join us and give it a go for a session!
Andy's cycle strength training sessions have made a huge difference to my core strength on the bike. He tailors the session really well to everyone's needs and abilities. He creates a good balance - it's both challenging and sociable. These sessions get me through the Winter !
