A lovely area to sit on a bench and catch up with friends with a coffee. More bins need to be put in this area though as those in place are always overflowing the minute we get nice weather and the grass is often left littered with rubbish as people see the full bins and aren’t considerate enough to carry their rubbish to find another bin. Wish they wouldn’t use this spot for fairground rides like they did a few months ago as it ruins the grass and takes ages for it to recover and start looking nice again.

Surrounded by low walls, seats and a grassed area with well kept flower beds. A fitting tribute to the fallen. It's a pity our visit was interrupted by someone who chose to park his derriere on the base of the monument swilling wine from a bottle, smoking cigarettes and playing UB40 tracks from his phone through a Bluetooth speaker!

Great spot to chill or have lunch. There are plenty of food options, all within 5 minutes walk. There are plenty of places to sit, even on crowded days.
