Dating back to 1830, these lovingly converted holiday cottages retain many original features. Each cottage has its own character and charm, with vaulted beamed ceilings. The cottages are set in stunning countryside surrounded by woodland walks and breathtaking views over Harwood Dale. Over 17 acres of natural unspoilt woods and grasslands are home to nesting barn owls, wild rabbits, deer and badgers. Guests can take the natural walk and enjoy the trickling waters of the meandering stream.

There is a wildlife pond and marshland, a birdwatchers haven as it slowly becomes home to many rare birds. Peace and tranquility is the order of the day with a shared hot tub, indoor games room and a children’s play area.

Lawned gardens with picnic benches to sit out and dine alfresco. Harwood Dale is located in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, approx 15 miles from the ancient seaport of Whitby and 7 miles from the Coastal seaside resort of Scarborough. It is an ideal location for a family holiday by the sea, or for walkers and cyclists wishing to explore the North York Moors.

Lots of places to visit all within a 45 minute drive, including the Historic City of York, Quaint Fishing Village of Robin Hoods Bay, Dalby Forest and Go Ape, plus why not visit the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, and visit one of the fantastic events.

The private 4-acre woodland leads on to a Public Footpath heading towards either Harwood Dale or the Coast, fantastic for lovers of the outdoors. On the doorstep are some idyllic woodland walks with the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough only a 15-minute drive away. There are shared on site facilities of a Hot Tub and beautiful lawned gardens to sit out and merely pass the time away.
