Our family loves ice cream and we're always on the look out for delicious new flavours. As my 4 year old said today, "it's always good to try something new!" This place had a wide variety of flavours of ice cream and sorbet - ranging from the classics, like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, to hot cross bun, and green apple. All the ice cream is made fresh on site by the owner who works everyday! He's super friendly and scoops ice cream competitively in America once a year. He knows a lot about ice cream, so be sure to chat to him while you're there. There are other places to buy ice cream in Hawes, but this place is incredible!
Incredible ice cream with a wide range of flavours to choose from. The guy serving was very nice and helpful. It was quick service and it seems to be a very popular choice around with many people getting ice cream from here. You will not be disappointed! I’d definitely recommend going here. The prices are great, the servings are a good size and there’s inside seating too.
This place is really special. Where else can you get ice cream served literally feet away from where it was churned?! And what ice cream (and sorbet) it is! Absolutely beautiful, and in a range of flavours so that there's something for everyone. We had the gold rush, which was chocolate chips with honeycomb and caramel, and the hokey pokey, which was honeycomb and vanilla. Both were gorgeous and flavoursome. The shop also sells tea and coffee. It made for a fabulous pit stop whilst exploring Hawes. If you're visiting Hawes, make sure you save room when eating all that Wensleydale cheese for some of this amazing ice cream. You won't be sorry
The most difficult thing for me is choosing which flavours to have as they're all fantastic! Dominic often has a new flavour or two to try, along with the classics - done in his own creative style. They're all so creamy & tasty, with plenty of flavour. The coffee is great, too! It's always nice to be greeted with a smile & have a chat.
Really lovely ice cream. Great choices and really friendly staff. The portion sizes were incredible and the fact its in the town hall preserving history is amazing. Love this. Will be back in what ever the weather.
