Visiting the lovely village Hawes we bumped into this intriguing antique shop for a browse , my wife had been looking for a large blue oriental lamp for ages and this charming shop had this ! We had a chat 💬 and it was snooze you loose as wouldn’t see this type of lamp for a long time ! We bought the lamp at a good price and the owner of shop was so helpful and very Professional and she wrapped it up in a careful way as we had a long journey home . If your in the Hawes Village and you want something different and love antiques too this shop is definitely worth a browse ! We are back in sussex and lamp has found a nice home 🏡
This is a beautiful and lovingly maintained shop and business. I have often called in as I visit the beautiful Dales and, in particular, Hawes a lot. I have always dreamt of owning a longcase clock (aka 'grandfather clock'). This seemed the perfect place to invest in one. I wasn't disappointed and I felt wise decisions were being made as the owner, Peter, couldn't be more knowledgeable and passionate about his profession and helping people engage in the same. The clock was delivered in good time, fitted and set going, and explained to me beautifully. I have bought other items and been delighted with the same, pleasing experience. I will not hesitate to go back. I can't recommend this place and the people who lovingly work there more highly. Thank you, Sturmans.

My wife fell in love with a Tweedmill Throw... We entered the shop. So many beautiful Antiques, lovely presented and the owners friendly, helpful, nice. Had a nice talk with them, the Throw looked great, top quality and a really good price. AAA- Rating. If you visit Hawes...we really recommend this shop. Regards from Germany.
