Maria Rebecca - Alterations

Maria recently adjusted sleeve length on a couple of my jackets. She took great care to measure up, source good thread match then replicate the original style of the jacket. I am very pleased with the result 👍🏻

Maria Rebecca recently altered two items for me. One a dress that was damaged on the sleeve, the other was simply too big. She had lots of ideas, much better than my own on how to make the alterations even better. She has such care and attention to detail and is really knowledgeable about her craft! I have know Maria Rebecca for many years, she made my wedding dress too! She is so talented, a hidden gem in Haxby. She really cares but will be honest if something is not going to work, but comes up with better solutions. Thank you Maria Rebecca!

A super experience with Maria Rebecca! Helpful, skilful, talented dressmaker! I asked for a dress hem to be altered to be higher at the front and lower at the back. The excess material was then used to make the front of the bodice more modest as it was rather low. Nothing was too much trouble and she took photos as she worked on the dress. I contacted Maria 4 days ago asking her for advice on a jacket I had purchased with no fasteners on. I booked an appointment with her that afternoon and I cannot tell you how helpful she was. We went through all the options and I decided on a zip. Apparently I was her first customer from google which was very exciting. Yesterday Maria emailed me to let me know my jacket was ready. I have just been to collect it what a fantastic job she has made. The jacket looks like it has always had the zip. Maria is such a lovely lady and so helpful. I will definitely be spreading the word to my friends and family. Maria thank you so much

Going on holiday which meant I needed a lot of alterations and repairs on some of my clothes. Rebecca did an amazing job, they fit perfectly now! Such a warm welcome and lovely space she has. Would definitely recommend if you’re from in & around York.
