Really my first experience of a carboot sale. So the 4 stars is for the setting, orderly layout and generally a pleasent atmosphere. Arrived via the number 40 bus from York. For cars it can be a bit of a wait as it's single file and 1 quid for entry. Pedestrians 40p. Then again leaving there is a long queue by 12pm. I'd suggest arrive early like 8am and leave by 1130 if I was travelling by car. Ample parking space by the way. No troubles there.
We sell there regularly, and really enjoy the place. Some great bargains to be had as well.
Quite comprehensive and genuine car booters. Few dealers. Large amount of clothing, toys, tools, collectibles. One hot food seller. All on grass field. Could be sloppy after rain. Massive car parks. Some cash needed, although food place accepts cards. One stall had vast array of angling tackle. Several plant sellers. £1 entry.
A large grass based car boot with plenty of parking and flushing toilets. Currently £1 per car entrance. Good choice of stalls from plant suppliers to kids toys, clothing and bric a bac. Often queues to leave the site, but they soon clear.
Excellent car boot with plenty of car booters and very few 'traders' apart from plant sales. Excellent bargains to be obtained. Can highly recommend J & J Girls Burger van, reasonably priced and well cooked food and very cheerful staff.
