A Brecks Away Holiday Cottages

Heading home after the most wonderful break at Cow Kennels. With two young adult children and our dog Beau it was a perfect set up with all the home comforts. The welcome pack and kitchen set up is so well thought through. Communication and the friendly hellos from both Guy and Tracey showed how they are investing in making your stay memorable. The location was perfect for both exploring the countryside and also the park and ride to the city. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon. PS the Xmas tree and lighting outside made it so special. 🎄

This is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at. Guy & Tracey made everything clear so it was easy to find the farm and get inside. The farm itself is lovely, with sheep, birds and horses that our daughter loved. We drove 5 mins to the park and ride which takes you into York easily (even with a dog and a pram). It’s also close to some lovely villages such as Helmsley. We met Guy and his son on the farm on the 2nd day and he was very friendly and gave us lots of tips of places to see. Overall a great trip, highly recommend!

We spent two nights at Well Cottage at Brecks Away (28–30 Nov) and absolutely loved it. The cottage is cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches — the kind that instantly make you relax and wonder if you really have to leave. Its location is perfect too: just a short hop to York and Fulford Designer Outlet, yet still tucked away in peaceful countryside. The lit-up Christmas tree and wishing well out front added real festive charm, and the sheep in the field were the cutest neighbours we’ve ever had. We left rested, happy, and already planning our return. Brilliant little getaway — highly recommend!

We’ve just enjoyed a fabulous weekend away with friends at the beautiful Cow Kennels. Everything about our stay was perfect. The cottage was finished to a high standard, the beds were some of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in, and the welcome pack from Guy & Tracey included everything we could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Mill. Beds were super comfortable, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Great location with easy access to the train museum and shops in York. The owners were very nice, even giving our boys some duck food to feed the ducks in the pond. Great communication over text with the owners also, making the checking in and out process easy. We will definitely be booking again!
