A great little cl we originally booked the 1night at short notice,on the confirmation email we were told we would be the only ones on site so we booked 2 more nights and it’s a great place to explore York and surrounding area,the bus stop out to York is a 2 minute walk to the left and then back to site is dead opposite.The site is next to the main road but due to the high trees and hedges and a 20mph speed limit and traffic calming the road noise is pretty none existent
Lovely site, well maintained and clean. A bit of road noise, but nothing that kept me awake. Saw a Buzzard in the field at the back of the site, which was a real treat. Buses to York are a short walk from the site, and there is a cafe, shop and chippy in walking distance. We have enjoyed a nice few days , and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Had a lovely weekend here. Nb the bus is now £3 per person per trip so we used an uber as sometimes it worked out cheaper. There is road noise. But not enough to warrant using my emergency earplugs. The entrance is slightly narrow but not a problem in a 7.5m motorhome. Of the 2 local pubs we much preferred the hogshead. There is a nice 7km circular run/walk from the site that takes in farmland and the river. Would come back next time we're in York.
Nice CL site, well kept with good elsan points. The site has a bus stop right outside the door, which saves on paying the £5.80 per hour for York city centre parking
We stayed here for one night passing through the area. We were very pleased with the site very well maintained and well laid out close to all amenities. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommended and would definitely stay if we are in this area again.
