The owner physically intimidates his staff and bullies them until they hand their notice in. The equipment is 20 -30 years old and in terrible condition and the remaining staff are young and inexperienced and severely lacking in knowledge now all the decent staff have left. The owner is lacking ethics and morals from what I have personally experienced. Completely overpriced now for the facilities you receive considering there are so many superior gyms in York at a much lower price. Unfriendly place and has absolutely no redeeming features now the previous owners have left.
New owner has severely questionable morals. Can be physically intimidating and rude (experienced personally) Extremely poor and old and knackered gym equipment. Staff inexperienced. Changing rooms small, poorly maintained, cold showers and dirty Nothing to recommend it for the price.
I have been a member of this gym for years, the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and they are doing a great job of trying to improve the facilities, love the classes too!
