Friendly bar staff for my first stop before going to a gig solo. Enjoyed the Delirium Red on tap, very hard to find. Slap & Pickle smashy was on point, really soft, airy bun and crumbly patty. Super fresh and the gravy chicken fries added a twist 👍
Enjoyed a pint and some GORGEOUS Slap and Pickle grub! Well worth the hour and half drive to finally try the food! We ordered the Smokey bun burger, onion rings side and the chicken Kiev sharer fries! And was Absolutely gorgeous!!! and we will definitely visiting again such a good atmosphere, lovely friendly staff too!! If you haven’t already tried the Slap and pickle food honestly get yourself there!!!!
Good pub still serving a good variety of real ale. Now lets in Otley road runners, but as it doesn't offer fosters or strongbow dark fruits they tend to go to other pubs. More decerning patrons do go in. Very impressive gang of Vikings in when I was there.
Came for pool and a drink last night. Got a pint of Sagres like we usually do. Didn’t taste right, like how a beer tastes when there’s some pipe cleaner in. Told one bartender, she gave a bit of a sarcastic answer, the other said she’d try it. Flicked a straw in it and licked the foam to then tell me that’s how it always is and insinuated I don’t have a clue about beers. Kept the pint, had a bit more then decided I should leave it. Stomach in pain and feel like rubbish today, was my only pint I had.
If you're into your selection of beers on tap then this is the place for you in Headingley, with the best atmosphere for people 27 to 47 years. One of the more quieter spots in the student filled Headingley. On Sundays and Thursdays they have an artist play acoustic songs from 7pm till about 10pm
