I don’t understand how this place has so many 5 star reviews. Ordered on JustEat and the curry was 2.5/10 max. The fries were overcooked and it seems like they use old oil. Naan was very chewy. Worst curry I had in a while
We ordered a takeaway (Saturday evening) for two at 5:30pm and it didn’t arrive until 7:30pm. We did ring to chase the order and the staff were polite, but it was still over an hour late. When the food finally arrived, it was completely cold and very disappointing. We tried reheating it in the oven, but it just wasn’t good and unfortunately ended up in the bin. If you don’t have enough drivers or are too busy, it would be better not to accept orders, as this completely spoiled our evening meal. I did ring the restaurant to complain and they offered 50% off our next order, which was appreciated, but sadly it doesn’t make up for the experience this time.

We ordered the lamb shank curry and the king prawn jalfrezi — both dishes were beautifully spiced, rich in flavour, and cooked to perfection. The naan was fresh and fluffy, and the mango lassi added a sweet, cooling touch. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide us through the menu and offer recommendations. It’s the kind of place that combines traditional Indian flavours with a modern, elegant twist. Final thought: If you're looking for a classy yet soulful Indian restaurant, Bengal Brasserie is a top choice — aromatic, welcoming, and full of culinary finesse.
Was a really good experience. Starting with a warm welcome, followed by great service and excellent tasting food from an extensive menu which is very fairly priced. We used to go the Blue Tiger at Bramley but that has gone down hill since Ali stepped aside. So happy to have now have found a replacement. At the end of the meal we were also offered a choice of a free drink (whisky, brandy, baileys). In summary, great price, great service and great food i.e. GREAT :-)
