Wow! The “Pinsa” is unreal! Never had this before. Had a proper warm welcome from the team who talked me through the concept. The Pinsa is so light and crisp. My topping choices fresh and flavoursome. I chose tomato & mozzarella artichokes, olives and florentine sausage - which has a gorg taste from the fennel. Treated myself to a glass of rose Prosecco as solo dinner date. Can’t wait to come back and organise an evening with friends here.
Just had a lovely meal at Cotto and wanted to leave a quick review for an upcoming business. I would explain the food as different but familiar. From my pictures you might think pizza, pasta. Whilst similar, a pinsa is different in taste and texture. Anyone with picky eaters most of the offerings allow you to choose your own ingredients making it really friendly for everyone. Wine selection is all Italian (Recommend the pecorino) and the cocktails & spritz are as good as being in Italy. Trust me haven't had a better Aperol since Milan in June. Staff are lovely and friendly, no delays or issues with our meal considering they've only been open a few days. Lovely new opening to continue from the previous business. See you soon Cotto.
This place is going to be a winner. We went on the Monday of opening. We expected a few teething problems. Not even worth mentioning, as the food was outstanding. I now have a new place for pizza and I will be back for more. The front of house were super attentive without being overbearing. I can only see La Grande going from strength to strength. The secret is out. Go try this place for yourself! Also come summer with all the doors open it will be like dining al fresco.
Booked here for my boyfriends birthday, first time we've been. It was a quiet Wednesday evening and I'd booked for around 6:30. We were greeted and seated, and liased the menu. Noticed the carbonara was made with cream and not egg which is unauthentic and disappointing, but I was craving it, so got it. Staff weren't as attentive as they could have been as our drinks were left empty for a little while with only 3 other tables occupied. I had to ask someone in the end. Garlic bread starter was nice and very garlic-y. Boyfriend liked his mushrooms. My carbonara was very creamy (boo). The pancetta was either very fatty or very thin and crisp so I did end up leaving a lot of it. Boyfriends pizza wasn't what he expected, but he ate it anyway. Our desserts were lovely, but the tiramisu is a bit misleading from the menu picture - I thought it would be served in a glass with traditional soaked biscotti, but it was like any other restaurants or even shop bought tiramisu. Overall, rather disappointing. Don't think I'd come back. Had higher hopes considering the reviews.
The worst meal I've had in a long time. Pizza just a Plate of dough. No topping. Restaurant trying to be up market but failed miserably. Very limited menu but can't get that right. Lovely pizza oven in the window but for show only. Avoid this place.
