This was our first visit to this restaurant that in a previous life had been a fish and chip shop/ restaurant. Its transformation was apparently six years ago, but it passed me by. Anyway the restaurant is nicely decorated and our waitress was very friendly and efficient. We were the only diners so it lacked some atmosphere, but it was an autumn Tuesday night! The food was delicious and between the four of us we got to experience 4 different mains. With them all being given praise. The starters had been similarly very tasty. So it's taken 6 years to spot this restaurant, but we will be back soon.
I have dined at No14 a number of times and I have hired the space for private parties. The food has always been amazing. They have prepared bespoke dishes from the menu choices to enhance my dinning experience. The smoked haddock dishes are my ultimate favourites. The atmosphere is cosy, warm and very welcoming. The front of house manager is very attentive and leads by example to the waitresses who never let me see an empty wine glass (which can be dangerous) wonderful wine list. Guest wine Primitivo id highly recommend. If you’re looking for somewhere that makes you go mmmmmm with every bite I’d highly recommend! I look forward to returning soon x
This place reminds me of the house in the film the holiday, is so cosy and beautiful. The food is some of the best Iv ever eaten. The staff are attentive, and so friendly. It’s an absolute must try. You truly will not be disappointed. The wine selection is also amazing. I wish I could give 10 stars ��️
Perfect lunch outside on a day dominated by noisy cricket fans. Excellent service, food cooked to perfection. Friendly and charming and entertaining staff. Overall fantastic
Our party of four had a fabulous meal with impeccable service in a lovely dining room. Every part of the meal was divine, and the staff were prompt, courteous and attentive. Each course was sublime -- starters, wine, mains, desserts and brandy. Easily our best meal in the UK, and we had some fine dinners this week in London before driving to Leeds today. Absolutely worth every penny.
