GMC 2000

We bought a car for my daughter at the garage and I am being honest that we have had a few issues, firstly with the preparation and then some repairs needed quite soon after purchase - which we all know is a risk of a used car - Anyway the point of the review is that the warranty company were a complete nightmare and just generally not communicating, not covering the repairs, ignoring emails - so I wrote to the garage owner and explained the annoyance at time wasted etc. - and well here I am to say how absolutely refreshing it is that within 24 hours of the letter, I got an email from who I think is the garage owner, he took ownership of the issue and resolved it straight away - no quibbles and to be honest its so refreshing to deal with a place that has integrity and deals with complaints, no trying to put it back on me, no 16 hoops to jump through - just yep! acknowledged it, owned it - resolved it ! Amazing handling of a situation and a prime example how to turn a 1 star into a 5! Well done Mr Gilpin and thank you for getting 1 job off my to do list of plenty! much much appreciated and highly recommend to anyone.

I have recently sold my Volvo V40 (14 reg) that I bought from GMC 5 years ago. The car I bought was not only in perfect condition but during the 5 years I owned it, I never had a mechanical failure or breakdown. The only work I ever did on the car was brakes and tyres. I can't thank Paul and GMC enough for selling me a reliable car that lasted years and over 60,000 miles. It's always a concern when you buy a secondhand car but I it's reassuring to know that there are dealers out there that pride themselves on selling you something good and reliable.

* IN RESP * Responce to your reply * A different car was offered to me yes but when I asked about the cars history Jamie couldn't give me any details. My garage did not repair the car, I couldn't get it there as it wouldn't start so where this has come from i do not know!! As you say, a garage isn't going to pay back monies when paperwork isn't in their hands but a customer has to give all this and the car back to an untrustworthy garage with nothing in return?? You now have the paperwork etc. The key and the vehicle after yet another 100 mile round trip but still no funds!!!! As for the repair which you say needs a Mercedes specialist.... it just needs the coolant box and pipe replacing!!!! I'm not mechanic but it's obvious! And to tell me this has been done when the pipe is clearly dated 2015 is a joke! The mot must be a fake which i would think is illegal. I will update you on this shortly. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!! I bought a black Mercedes Aclass from here back in July 25. The car 'supposedly' had a service & mot before collecting. After one week of collection the coolant light came on. I was told to top it up as sometimes this can happen after a mot (obviously im a girl and have faith in the dealer) so I did. Drove the car out for my birthday tea to return to a puddle of liquid underneath the car. I took photos and turned on the car...... coolant light on again. Topped it up and drove straight home Spoke to jamie who told me to drive the car back to Leeds which I refused as I was told by a friend, no coolant can damage the engine. Jamie arranged for the car to be collected. After 3 weeks the car was returned, apparently they had drove it miles and there was no issue. (The milage hadn't changed) Jamie told me the car would be valeted and ready for me. I collected the car...... no vallet, no fuel, just McDonald's wrappers in the back. Around a week later the coolant light came on again! The car was collected again!! Apparently fixed ... the coolant pipe changed...... Guess what???? The light came on again!!!! I was told again to top the coolant.... I tried to do so but the coolant cap was jammed on, I took the car to my local mechanic who managed to get the cap off but also told me no pipes had been changed, he knew this as they all had the date on them which the car was made. Jamie told me on the phone to get my garage to fix it and they will reimburse me. Then the service light came on..... I thought this was odd but was told by jamie sometimes this happens if the time hasn't been set after the service. The car was booked in for repair and I didn't drive the car until I was due to take it in. On the day .... the car wouldn't start. This same day I received an email from my finance company to say my car was due an mot!!!!!! Jamie told me... . I'll just give you your money back. No apology, just a straight get out of jail card! As I had finance on the car this was going to take time. I had booked the car into airport parking for my holiday which cost me £120 but I couldn't go in this car!!!!! The car was collected in September, I kept the spare key and paper work until I knew what was happening..... as a safety barrier due to all trust lost It is now November and I am still to receive any money back or an apology or any mention of compensation. I have lost my job due to having no transport, I have had no vehicle to take and collect my child from school which is 20 minutes drive from home. I have paid £120 in coolant, paid the finance every month for a car which is not even on my drive nevermind drivable, paid insurance, kept the tax onit as, I was told by jamie to keep it in my name otherwise it would be logged as having more owners and that's bad for when they come to sell it again!!!!!! I have had the worst 4 months of my life after spending all my savings on a car which was always my dream!!!! I am now in the process of getting legal advise and speaking with the ombudsman as this is a total rip off dealership who saw a girl buying a car and took advantage of her!!

Bought my VW Tiguan from here very happy with the sale of the vehicle and the part exchange with my car...Paul the owner was very helpful in every way and done a great deal for me...very pleased..has some beautiful motors at some incredible prices...if your in the market to buy one...look no further than GMC 2000 you won't be disappointed. 😊

Polite , courteous and honest sales staff but the after sales is the best I’ve come across in 40 years . Few issues after purchase and each one was sorted quickly and professionally at no cost to me , genuinely a credit to the car sales industry.
